Daw Mar Mar Wai is a Regional Program Manager based in Ayeyarwady, Myanmar. Mar Mar Wai joined Landesa in 2017.

What inspires your work with Landesa? I am inspired to grasp the opportunity to serve smallholder farmers who lack access to land and experience poverty.

What is your favorite part of working for Landesa? I am keen on working to raise gender equitable land rights.

Of what are you most proud during your time with Landesa? I am so proud of this golden opportunity to work with Landesa — working to strengthen land rights of people experiencing extreme poverty and developing gender-related laws and policies.

Describe your vision for a better world. I hope for a world that is free from poverty, free from conflict, where people are safe from natural disaster and from climate change, and enjoy greater prosperity.
