SEPTEMBER 30, 2011 -- Landesa’s China program is teaming up again with China’s Renmin University and Michigan State University to conduct a new round of nationwide survey on farmers’ land rights, which is the sixth in the series. The survey covers 17 major agricultural provinces in China based on interviews with more than 2,000 farm families across rural China.
To address the lack of implementation, assistance and even awareness of land laws for rural families in India, the state government of Andhra Pradesh, NALSAR University of Law, and Landesa’s partner in India, RDI, are establishing a Center for Land Rights at NALSAR’s campus in Hyderabad.
