Luciana Aquino-Hagedorn is a global lawyer, investor, and strategic advisor with over 20 years of combined legal and investment experience. Luciana serves as Chairperson of Qarlbo Natural Asset Company AB (Qarlbo), a company that invests in working forests to restore and protect ecosystems, aiming at significant biodiversity and climate benefits. She is also a Lecturer at Boston University School of Law where she teaches a course on Sustainable Finance and a Senior Fellow at the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment. Previously, as GC and Executive Leadership Team member at Natural Capital Exchange (NCX.com), Luciana advised a leading climate-tech Series B startup on carbon program design, impact claims and other nature-based solutions. Prior to NCX, Luciana co-founded/co-led Goodwin Procter’s Impact and Responsible Investing Practice Area where she focused her practice on transactions, fund formation, investment structuring, governance, and regulations. Before that, as SVP of Natural Resources at Harvard Management Company, Inc. (HMC), Luciana led transactions and provided strategic and investment advice across the forestry, agriculture, and renewable energy portfolio. She has a J.D. from Facultad de Derecho y Ciencias Sociales de la Universidad de Buenos Aires, an LL.M. from Columbia Law School, and a J.D. from Boston University School of Law.
