Sam Pickett is Landesa’s Program Coordinator based in Seattle, Washington. Sam began working for Landesa in 2022.

What brought you to Landesa?

I was interested in working for a non-profit organization that did work internationally based out of Seattle and when I found Landesa the mission really resonated with me.

What are your core responsibilities?

I am a program coordinator to the Corporate Engagement team and the Law and Policy Practice Group, so a lot of my work is centered around keeping the administrative and operations pieces moving within our projects. My work often involves budgets, coordinating across Landesa and with our partners, as well as contracting and supporting our consultants.

What is the most rewarding part of your work at Landesa?

The most rewarding part of my work at Landesa is being able to see the broader impact of our projects. My work is often so focused on small details and behind the scenes work that seeing all the pieces come together is especially rewarding.

How do you spend your time when you’re not working?

When I am not working, I enjoy reading, watching movies and live shows, and cooking. I also am part of a bar trivia team that competes every week, go Femininomenons!

My vision for a better world is a world in which all people’s rights are respected and the environment is valued.
