Vikesh Mahendroo Former CEO, Continuous Learning Group (CLG)
Vikesh Mahendroo has almost four decades of experience in the government, corporate, and non-profit sectors.
Vikesh began his professional career as an officer in the Indian Administrative Service. Early in his career, he witnessed the challenges of land ownership and the impact of secure land rights on the lives of farmers, which laid the foundation for his work in global land rights later in life.
In the corporate sector, Vikesh led consulting firms focused on human resources, leadership development and training/learning for over three decades. He served as President of the U.S. business of Mercer HR Consulting and as the CEO of Intrepid Learning Solutions and CLG (now Alula).
Vikesh’s engagement with the non-profit sector began when he joined the Landesa’s Board in 2011, which enabled him to become deeply involved with global poverty alleviation through secure ownership of land, particularly by promoting the inclusion of women and Indigenous Peoples as title holders. Vikesh was the 2024 recipient of the Roy L. Prosterman Award, named after the founder of Landesa, for “extraordinary contributions to global poverty alleviation through his dedication to land rights and social equity.” During Vikesh’s Board service (2011-2024), he went on field visits to India and Cambodia to see, firsthand, the impact of Landesa’s work on the rural poor.
