Wilma Wallace Former Chief Diversity and Social Impact Officer and Chief Legal Officer, REI
Wilma is a C-suite executive and Board member with over 30 years of global experience working with public, private and start-up companies in retail, consumer product and the social and environmental impact space. Most recently, Wilma served as the first Chief Diversity and Social Impact Officer for REI (Recreational Equipment Inc, a consumer cooperative) where she led and championed the co-op’s racial equity, diversity and inclusion efforts at an enterprise level. Wilma also served as the Chief Legal Officer and Senior Vice-President, after having started her journey at REI as the General Counsel. Prior to joining the co-op, Wilma served as the General Counsel (Interim) for Enveritas, an environmental sustainability start-up firm and during a 20 year career at Gap Inc., held various executive roles including as a leader of global legal, ethics and compliance and ESG programs at the Fortune 100 retailer.
In addition to her Board service on Landesa, Wilma currently serves as a Director on the Boards of Premera, a health care company, and the REI Cooperative Action Fund. Wilma received her JD from the University of Virginia School of Law and is a graduate of Brown University.
